Industry Veteran Brings Deep Leadership, Insight Generation, and Operational Expertise to Leading Cybersecurity Research and Advisory Firm

Boston, MA – October 17, 2024  IANS Research, a Boston-based cybersecurity research and advisory firm, today announced the appointment of Kurt Reisenberg to Chief Operating Officer.  Reisenberg brings deep expertise from more than two decades at CEB (Corporate Executive Board), through its acquisition by Gartner, and his more recent experience leading Datos Insights, a research, data, and advisory firm serving the financial services industry.

Reisenberg’s 30 years of experience in the information services sector has spanned complex research, product, operations and sales leadership roles, with a focus on creating unique, actionable content and data assets, developing must-have subscription products for C-level executive clients, and aligning go-to-market teams around aggressive growth strategies.

At IANS, Reisenberg will manage the Research, Product, Client Services, Consulting, and Technology teams. His responsibilities will include driving key strategic initiatives, improving the quality of the firm’s research and data offerings, increasing operational excellence, and supporting IANS’ growth as it continues to meet the expanding demands of Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and the cybersecurity community.

“I am excited to welcome Kurt to the IANS leadership team and look forward to the tremendous contributions he’ll make as we continue to drive innovation, further differentiate our level of service, and expand the portfolio of products we offer CISOs and their teams,” stated Phil Gardner, Founder and CEO of IANS.  “By adding Kurt’s expertise to our executive team, we will be better able to serve as the trusted partner that CISOs need as they navigate their increasingly complex leadership responsibilities in today’s rapidly shifting cybersecurity environment."

"It’s an often-overused sentiment that the pace of change in today’s business world has never been faster—but it is truth and not hyperbole in cybersecurity,” said Reisenberg. “With CISOs facing expanded responsibilities, rapidly evolving threats, and intense regulatory pressures, it’s crucial for them to have a partner who can help them navigate these challenges and effectively manage organizational risk,” stated Reisenberg. “I’m thrilled to join an organization that is so deeply committed to supporting the CISO community, and I’m excited to help the team realize the myriad growth opportunities in this sector.”
