Securing Traditional Active Directory/Microsoft Environments

 

Traditional Active Directory environments are still at the core of security and identity for most large organizations. AD is extremely complex, yet securing it is critical to the security of these organizations. In this course, you will learn how to secure AD against most common attacks, such as Kerberoasting, as well as how to protect the overall legacy Windows environment that is part of your AD domain.


Target Audience

This course is ideal for:

  • Security architects, analysts and engineers who work in environments with traditional Active Directory
  • IT engineers responsible for managing Active Directory

This course is not well suited for anyone who has completely moved off of traditional AD to a cloud only Entra environment.

Hardware Required

A computer with a Remote Desktop client, Internet access.

Prerequisite Knowledge

Basic Active Directory and Windows knowledge, for example, knowing how to create user accounts, Group Policies and joining computers to the domain.

Duration

Roughly 6 hours over 2 days.

Level

Intermediate. No AD security skills are expected, but some AD skills.
