Strengthening Manufacturing Cybersecurity: Preparing for Ransomware and Other Threats
The manufacturing industry is one of the most targeted sectors for cyberattacks, with some reports enumerating that more than 1 in 4 attacks are aimed at it. Of these, more than 2 out of 3 are a ransomware attack. It’s not hard to see why attackers choose to target manufacturing – they know there’s a direct impact on the revenue of the org when operations are down, and there are many unique challenges defenders face in these environments, including the convergence of IT/OT systems, managing legacy systems/outdated infrastructure, and challenging asset management (just to name a few). In this webinar, IANS Faculty Bill Dean offers recommendations to security leaders in the manufacturing sector to help address common cyber challenges faced in this space and activities to undertake to be better prepared should a ransomware, business email compromise (BEC) or account takeover (ATO) attack occur.
- Gain advice on addressing the unique challenges faced in manufacturing cybersecurity
- Walk through what makes for a successful tabletop exercise – including the components, considerations and participants – to develop playbooks for various attacks
